For making quality big band, jazz and Dixieland music accessible to their community, the City of Richland has presented Mississippi Swing! and The Jackson All-Stars the "Key to the City." The award was presented on December 7, 2009.

Jackson All-Star and Mississippi Swing! bass player Bernard Holly recently received the Outstanding Service Award at the 17th Annual Christmas Musical presented by the Jackson Metropolitan Community Christmas Choir. Mr. Holly serves as Project Coordinator for the annual event. Other musicians involved with the project  included Elizabeth Koskie (Keyboard/Strings), David Schommer (Trumpet), Jeff Reiter (Lead Trumpet), London Branch (Trumpet), Willie Silas (Drums) Gail Johnson (Piano) and Booker Walker (Alto).
